Prof. Fuhito Kojima (Director of UTMD) has been elected as a Fellow of the Econometric Society.

The Econometric Society is an international society in the field of economic theory that emphasizes statistical and mathematical methods. Elected fellows have highly acclaimed research achievements and many have gone on to win Nobel Prizes in economics.

Prof. Kojima’s research focuses on matching theory and market design and he has made a number of important contributions to the field. His research is motivated by constraints encountered in real life matching problems and has significantly contributed to widening applicability of the theory to real matching markets.
